The University

The University of RSIPA is a tuition-based audition only program open to ages 13 to 18. The University provides rigorous instruction in Dance, Theatre, and Drumming. Students are taught by RSIPA faculty in addition to special guest artists. University students will work with RSIPA faculty to create artistic works for the Academy and serve as a student teacher. The purpose of this collaboration is to allow University students to develop their performing arts teaching pedagogy. University students will also be performing members of the University Performing Ensemble entitled, “Elevation”.

University students have the option of choosing a performing arts focus area. This focus area is referred to as a student’s concentration. Within the University, all classes are taught from either the School of Dance, the School of Drama, or the School of Drumming.
